Going into a 4 game set with the Bulls, the Bengals turned to starter Kevin O'Toole. Although the Bengals struck first, the Bulls bats were on fire all game, as they had 10 hits, and scored 11 runs. Bulls starter Brian Speck struck out 10 Bengals en route to an 11-5 victory.

Looking to strike back, the Bengals gave the ball to Menezes, who had 1 W, and 1 S against the Bulls in the '07 playoffs. Once again, the Bengals were the first to strike, but the Bulls had some timely hits after Menezes walked a few batters. The score was 6-2 going into the 7th when the Bengals stranded runners on second and third.
